Forever21 Burnout Camo Scarf

I wear scarves all year around…As I type, I am sitting at my desk swathed in a summer muffler and a cashmere sweater - I’m getting old, I get cold. So, I’m thinking this $8.80 scarf paired with a DVF dress and some Gucci shoes in a low, middle, high combo could work for me.

Hue Opaque Tights

Hue Opaque Tights

So, in prep for Fall, I am investing in way too many pairs of opaque and semi-opaque tights to brighten an otherwise completely black (as in totally, utterly, completely black) wardrobe. My fave, affordable, comfy tights are by Hue and these come in a multitude of colors - from bright pink to basic black to Fall’s all important jewel tones.

Marvy Uchida Le Pen Markers

I am especially snobbish when it comes to three things (okay, really like 15-20 things but for the sake of this post, let’s say three)…
#1 - Shoes, they don’t have to be designer, but the have to be really, really good.
#2 - Coffee, it has to be espresso and it has to be really, really good
#3 -Pens, they have to be felt tipped, fine at least minorly stylish…
…so while perusing the art shop, i rediscovered my favorite pens of all time (literally, since I discovered these forever ago and kinda forgot about them) Le Pen - perfectly sleek, smooth and stylin’.

Lauren Urstadt- Quilted Fingerless Gloves

Gloves are my absolute favorite accessory…cold weather or warm…it’s a Karl Lagerfeld thing. So, even though it’s still not cool enough to sport my fingerless perforated driving gloves (unless you’re Karl Lagerfeld) I am dreamily, materialistically, lusting after Lauren Urstadt’s Quilted Fingerless Gloves ($75). DKNY Modern Ribbed Tights at BareNecessities.com

It happens every single Fall, but for some reason I always get excited at the announcement that Fall will be all about hosiery. Problem is, with the exception of those new two-toned opaque and sheer numbers (not a fan) there’s really mothing new in hosiery happening…black opaques, jewel-hued opaques and a couple of fishnets - that’s it really. So, of course I am super psyched about DKNY’s Modern Ribbed Tights and now my hosiery obsession has been satisfied - for now. (via Bare Necessities)

Muji Jewelry Box With Mirror

I am a total sucker for all things plexi…It’s like a serious weakness. Since my beloved hubby has already banned a plexi tables, a blacksplash and assorted other see-through home decorating ideas that I’ve had, I think I am going to buy this for myself - especially since it is both nearly invisible and will be located on top of my newly purchased plexi dressing table.

Stacked Rings

Stacked Rings

I am not an accessories person. I am the person who spends waaay too much on the latest accessories trend only to get home do a test-run and arrive at the amazing revelation that ultimately, I am not an accessories person. I’ve had a borderline obsession with stacked rings, but given my accessorizing shortcomings, I think it is best to do a toe in the water and spend the $3.80 at Forever 21. (via Forever 21)

Marc by Marc Jacobs Concrete Jungle print dress

I previously decided to be over Marc Jacobs, but dang it - I absolutely adore this dress…and I can totally see it paired with some super opaque Wolford tights and boots as it gets cooler. I think that fighting my way through the concrete jungle in this baby will be a breeze.
..also, side note - this baby has a hidden corset inside - how cool is that?

OnGossamer Basal Art Stretch Lace Camisole

I strongly believe in the power of a camisole. They can transform the slightly slutty to the superbly sublime (as in under a sheer top or deep neckline)…they keep you warm in the winter and perfectly covered-up in warmer weather, I wear them almost everyday. I absolutely adore this Basal Art camisole…chic, sheer and the perfect pop of color under my omni-present black in OnGossamer’s signature soft, stretchy lace. This cami is a definite have-to-have. Occhi Verdi Love To Love Bra

Formerly my bra pantheon consisted of comfortable, supportive bras that were ugly but utilitarian and pretty, sexy bras that lend themselves to chronic jiggly boob syndrome - those categories were pretty much mutually exclusive.
So, the thing about this pretty, yet supportive baby from Occhi Verdi by La Perla is that sheer lacy prettiness aside, this sucker is built like a tank - offering the ultimate in bra bliss a pretty, supportive, sexy bra that you can actually wear under clothing. (via Bare Necessities)
